Detectives from the Sheriff’s Department Burglary Unit were conducting follow-up on an August 1, 2015, burglary in which a large sum of money and gift cards were taken from a residence. Detectives learned one of the gift cards had been used at a local businesses. The business provided detectives with a photo of the person using the card. An 88-CRIME tip identified the person as Dawn Hansen. She was located with her boyfriend, identified as Terry Filby. Both were taken to the Pima County Adult Detention Complex and booked on outstanding warrants. The Burglary detectives received additional information about the suspects who committed the burglary. The information obtained led to a search warrant at three properties. On August 24, 2015, Burglary detectives served a search warrant on a room at the Best Western, located at Orange Grove Road and Oracle Road. They served two more at residences in the 5200 block of North Calle Paint. Detectives found items from at least three burglaries from the past month during the service of the warrant. Shawn Martinez, one of the suspects from the August 1, 2015, burglary was taken into custody. She was transported to the Pima County Adult Detention Complex and booked on one count of Second Degree Burglary. The investigation continues.
