Motor vehicle collisions are the leading cause of unintentional deaths for children ages 1 -19 years old. Making sure your car seat is properly installed is the first step in keeping kids safe. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is dedicated to educating the public on proper car seat installation and use so these types of tragedies are prevented. Join us, along with Safe Kids Pima County and the Rincon Valley Fire District, on Saturday, March 10, 2018, for a FREE car seat check. The event will be held at the Rincon Valley Fire District located at 8850 South Camino Loma Alta, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. This event is part of RVFD’s annual pancake breakfast and they would like to teach the community about proper car seat installation and usage. Learn from trained deputies, officers, and community partners. The funding for this event was made available through grants awarded by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.
