Motor vehicle collisions are the leading cause of unintentional deaths for children ages 1-19 years old. Making sure your car seat is properly installed is the first step in keeping kids safe. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is dedicated to educating the public on proper car seat installation and use so these types of tragedies are prevented. Join us, along with Safe Kids Pima County on Saturday, March 17, 2018, 9am-12pm, for a FREE car seat check. The event will be held across the street from 2600 North Wyatt Drive. This event is part of Tucson Medical Center’s Annual Be Safe Saturday, and they would like to teach the community about proper car seat installation and usage. Learn from trained deputies, officers, and community partners. The funding for this event was made available through grants awarded by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.
