On Friday, February 16, 2018, at approximately 1:20 a.m., Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Circle K located at 5818 South Palo Verde Road for a report of a theft. When they arrived, deputies learned two suspects, one male and one female, entered the store and selected some items from the shelves. The male suspect placed the items on the counter and demanded the clerk place all of them in a plastic bag. Once the bag was full, he then demanded the clerk put all of the cash from the drawer inside the bag as well. Both suspects then ran from the store in an unknown direction. The male suspect is described as: • Hispanic, in his 30s or 40s, with brown hair, brown eyes, and short facial hair • Approximately 6’0” in height, large build • Last seen wearing a blue U of A hooded sweatshirt and grey sweatpants • Possibly goes by the nickname of “Cisco” The female suspect is described as: • Hispanic, in her 30s or 40s, with brown hair and brown eyes • Approximately 5’0” in height, large build • Last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and grey sweatpants • Possibly goes by the nickname of “Angel” Robbery/Assault Unit detectives have taken over the investigation and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects in this case.
