On Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at approximately 5:42 p.m., deputies responded to the Safeway located at 9705 North Thornydale Road for a report of a vehicle break-in. Upon arrival, deputies learned the victim’s vehicle had been broken into while it was parked in the parking lot and multiple items were taken. A bank card taken from the vehicle was used later that same day at a Circle K on the southwest side of town. Video surveillance collected from the Circle K showed two male suspects using the bank card for multiple transactions. The first suspect is described as: • Caucasian, in his early-to-mid 20s, with a chin curtain beard and dark hair • Medium height and build, with tattoos on both forearms • Last seen wearing a black baseball hat, black t-shirt, and black pants The second suspect is described as: • African-American, in his early-to-mid 20s, with facial hair • Approximately 6’0” tall, thin build • Last seen wearing a red Arizona Cardinals beanie, gray sweatshirt, and red pants Auto Theft detectives have taken over the investigation and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying both suspects from this case.
