Sent on 4/26/2013 1:00:21 PM

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department will join the statewide prescription drug take-back day hosted by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). The Sheriff’s Department periodically provides opportunities for the proper disposal of unused and/or expired prescription drugs through its Dispose-A-Med program. On Saturday, April 27, 2013, the collection point will be located at the Target located at 4040 N. Oracle Road. Anyone can drop off their prescription and non-prescription drugs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Prescription and over-the-counter tablets, capsules, liquids and creams will be collected. Metal or glass inhalation aerosol bottles, syringes and epi-pens will not be accepted. For safety and confidentiality reasons, any items turned over for collection cannot be returned. We cannot accept drugs from commercial organizations. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
