UPDATE: The boy found earlier this morning on the southwest side of Tucson has been identified. His parents called 9-1-1 to report him missing. ************************************************************************* The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public for assistance in the identification of a child. Early this morning, at approximately 2:45 AM, deputies with the San Xavier District responded to a 9-1-1 call about a found child. They learned a couple was driving westbound on Valencia Road, when they noticed a young child on the northern shoulder of the roadway near Eagles Talon Parkway (between Camino Verde and Ajo Way). They stopped out with the young boy and called 9-1-1. He is a Caucasian boy, 7 to 10 years old, approximately 5 feet tall and weighs approximately 70 pounds. The boy has blonde hair and blue eyes. He was not able to communicate with the couple or investigators and could therefore not be identified by name. At the time he was found, he was barefoot, wearing Spiderman pajamas, and a blue t-shirt imprinted with a skull wearing glasses. The boy had a pink Starbucks cup with him. The child has been turned over into the custody of the Department of Child Safety (DCS). Anyone with information on the boy’s identity is urged to call 9-1-1.
