On Friday, December 28, 2018, at approximately 2:11 p.m., deputies responded to the Pima County Adult Detention Complex for the report of an escaped inmate. On arrival they learned 30 year old Luis Moreno had turned himself in to the Pima County Adult Detention Complex the previous day on an outstanding DUI warrant and was sentenced to 30 days in jail. On today’s date, Mr. Moreno was working the kitchen crew at the loading dock where he was last seen running towards a wash near the detention complex wearing a red shirt and red pants. Deputies with the Fugitive Investigative Strike Team and officers with the Tucson Police Department are working together in the search for Mr. Moreno. He is described as: • Hispanic male, 6’0”, approximately 175 lbs. • Black hair with a buzz cut, brown eyes. • Last seen wearing a red shirt and red pants. We are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Luis Moreno. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1.
