Update: Kids Located Safe

Update: July 11, 2017 This morning, at approximately 1:30 a.m., all three children were located in a remote area north of Globe, AZ. The children were located unharmed and are back home. Bedajii Harnesbarry was arrested for three counts of custodial interference. Thank you to everyone who helped safely locate all three children. More information will be released as it becomes available. Original: July 10, 2017 Today, at approximately 10:40 a.m., deputies responded to the 7800 block of Desert Quail Lane for a report of a kidnapping. Upon arrival, deputies learned three children were taken by their mother, 33-year-old Bedajii Harnesberry. The children were previously removed from Ms. Harnesberry's care and placed with their grandmother. Following an argument with Ms. Harnesberry the grandmother went to a neighbor's house to visit. As she was walking back she witnessed Ms. Harnesberry loading one of the children into a vehicle. The grandmother tried to use her vehicle to block Ms. Harnesberry from leaving; however, she was able to leave with all three children. Ms. Harnesberry is believed to be heading to New Mexico where she is from. The children are described as: • 16-year-old Parvati Harnesberry- African American female, 5'6" tall, 140 pounds, brown eyes, black hair • 14-year-old Ramachandra Harnesberry- African American male, 5'6" tall, 130 pounds, brown eyes, black hair • 11-year-old Malchiyah Harnesberry- African American female, 4'6" tall, 65 pounds, green eyes, black hair The suspect is described as: • African American • 5'4' in height, 180 pounds, brown eyes, black hair • Driving a tan colored four door station wagon with a paper New Mexico plate Crimes Against Children and Domestic Violence detectives responded and took over the investigation. Detectives located evidence which suggests chemicals were used to abduct the children. They believe the children are in danger and are asking for the public's assistance in locating them.
