On December 28, 2012, at approximately 9:00 pm, deputies responded to the report of a larceny in progress at a Safeway grocery store near the 4700 block of East Sunrise. It was reported that suspects filled a grocery cart with a variety of alcoholic beverages and left the store without paying for the items. Security identified the suspects as subjects involved in a separate incident that occurred at a Safeway location in the city just days prior. It was reported that one of the suspects brandished a weapon during that incident. Responding patrol units observed the reported suspect’s vehicle approximately two blocks from the incident location. They conducted a high risk stop and detained four subjects - 27 year old Mathew Edward Mullin, 29 year old Christopher Michael Comiskey, 38 year old James Gregory Yohe, and 35 year old Tamra May Fought. Reported stolen items were recovered from the vehicle. Detectives responded to the scene and conducted an investigation. Additional reports state the suspects were shoplifting the items for resale. Subsequently, all subjects were taken into custody and booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Center for Trafficking in Stolen Property, Organized Retail Theft, Shoplifting, and outstanding warrants. Mathew Mullin, identified as the subject brandishing the weapon in the earlier incident, was also charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
