On March 18, 2013, at approximately 10:00 p.m., deputies with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department Foothills District responded to the Bank of America near Thornydale Road and Linda Vista Boulevard. The initial report indicated that a female victim had been robbed at knifepoint. Detectives from the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division also responded to investigate. They learned from the victim that earlier that night, she had deposited her paycheck and also wanted to withdraw some money from the drive-through ATM. While she was still seated in her car, a male individual wearing a Halloween mask appeared. The suspect said something to the victim, but she was not able to understand as she only speaks Spanish. She also described the suspect held a knife that was possibly a larger folding knife. The victim pulled her arm back inside her vehicle and drove off. Through her rearview mirror, she observed the suspect manipulating the ATM. It was later determined that no money had been withdrawn from the account. Surveillance footage obtained from the bank showed what appeared to be a male individual with a light complexion and dark hair, wearing dark clothing and what looks like a green demon mask with purple horns. Detectives are asking the public for any information on the possible identity of the suspect or any other information pertinent to this case. Please call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME with any tips. The investigation continues.
