Detectives with the Sheriff’s Burglary Unit are investigating a break in at the Super Stop located at 6890 N. Sandario Road. The incident occurred on October 6, 2014. When deputies with the Sheriff’s Tucson Mountain Patrol District responded to an alarm call at the Superstore, they found one of the front door windows shattered. The investigation revealed that the suspect had approached the store at approximately 1:30 AM and used a rifle to shoot at the front door window, causing the glass to shatter. Video surveillance showed an individual wearing a striped shirt and mask entering the store and stealing cigarettes. The combined damage of the shattered glass door and the stolen cigarettes is approximately $1,000. Based on evidence located at the scene, detectives suspect the perpetrator may be responsible for other property crimes committed in the area.
