Identity theft has quickly become one of the most costly crimes happening today. In response to this problem, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department has partnered with Shred-It to host several “Shred-A-Thons.” The goal of these events is to raise the public’s awareness and educate them about identity theft. By shredding old documents, you can decrease the chances of thieves stealing and assuming your identity. Date of Event: Saturday, January 24, 2015 Time of Event: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (or until the trucks are full) Location: Casas Church, 10801 N. La Cholla Blvd. • The service is free. • This will be a drive-through shredding service. • An attendant will go to your car and transfer all your documents to a bin for shredding. • No more than 5 file size boxes full of paperwork will be accepted per car. • Documents from businesses will not be accepted. • When the trucks are full, the Shred-A-Thon is over.
