Subway Robbery

On Thursday, December 1, 2016, at approximately 9:08 p.m., Foothills District deputies responded to the Subway located at 5095 North La Canada Drive for a report of a robbery. When deputies arrived, they learned two male subjects had entered the store and demanded money from the register. According to the Subway employee, one of the subjects displayed a black handgun from his waistband while demanding the money. The employee opened the cash drawer and the male with the gun took all of the cash from the drawer. Both subjects then left the store heading northbound on foot. The suspect who displayed the gun is described as: • Caucasian, appearing to be in his early 30’s • Last seen wearing a black/white baseball cap with skulls on it, dark colored hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans • Armed with a black handgun • He is believed to be responsible for multiple robberies throughout Tucson, including the Compass Bank robbery on December 8, and at least three separate robberies in Tucson Police Department’s jurisdiction. The second suspect is described as: • Hispanic or Middle Eastern, appearing to be in his mid-30’s • Dark hair and a beard • Last seen wearing eyeglasses, a red University of Arizona hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans Robbery Assault detectives have taken over this investigation and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects.
