Two Eastside Armed Robberies Linked

On July 21, 2013, at 6:17 p.m., Rincon District deputies responded to the Red Mango yogurt shop located at Sunrise and Swan reference an armed robbery. When deputies arrived, they learned an unidentified light skinned male entered the business, implied he had a weapon and demanded money. He was described as a young, medium build male, wearing a black jacket with three very distinctive patches, blue jeans and a black hat. The suspect left the store prior to the deputies arrival and was seen leaving the area in a silver 4-door sedan, possibly a Pontiac, with a faded license plate. Later that evening at 11:31 p.m., deputies responded to the 7-Eleven convenience store at Skyline and Swan reference an armed robbery, were the man demanded money and also implied he had a weapon. The suspect left the area prior to the deputies arrival. The description of this individual was similar to the one provided at the previous incident. Detectives with the Sheriff’s Robbery Assault Unit took over the investigation and believe that the suspect seen in the surveillance videos, is the same person. Detectives would like to ask for the public’s assistance in locating this individual. Anyone with information on the suspect’s identity is urged to contact 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME
