Update 4: Southside Home Invasion Leaves One Person Deceased March 31, 2014 The Pima County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Unit made two more arrests in connection with the home invasion that occurred on March 29, 2014, in the 14400 block of West Kestrel Road. Homicide detectives arrested 18-year-old Forrest Lupercio on March 30, 2014, and 16-year-old Daniel Mancilla-Range, who will be charged as an adult, this morning. Both are charged with one count of First Degree Murder. During the course of this investigation, six search warrants have been served resulting in 4 arrests for First Degree Murder and one for Possession of a Dangerous Drug. Alejandra Robinson, 19 years of age, was arrested for having 36 grams of methamphetamine and 13 pounds of marijuana in her possession. Time line of events: • 1:22 a.m. on March 29, deputies responded to a 911 hang-up • March 29, 2014, at 12:00 p.m., Robert Pryor was arrested for First Degree Murder • March 30, 2014, at 8:10 a.m., Osvaldo Carrillo-Valenzuela was arrested for First Degree Murder • March 30, 2014, at 4:00 p.m., Forrest Lupercio was arrested for First Degree Murder • March 30, 2014, at 7:00 p.m., Alejandra Robinson was arrested for Possession of a Dangerous Drug • March 31, 2014, at 7:00 a.m., Daniel Mancilla-Rangel was arrested for First Degree Murder ______________________________________________________________________ Update 3 March 30, 2014 The Pima County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Unit arrested 20-year-old Osvaldo Carrillo-Valenzuela in connection with the home invasion that occurred yesterday in the 14400 block of West Kestrel Road. Osvaldo Carrillo Valenzuela was arrested this morning and booked on one count of First Degree Murder. The investigation continues. ______________________________________________________________________ Update 2 March 29, 2014 The Pima County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Unit has identified 26-year-old Luis Antonio Lupercio as the person fatally wounded in today’s home invasion. Homicide detectives also arrested 17-year-old Robert M. Pryor. He was transported to the Pima County Adult Detention Center and booked as an adult on one count of First Degree Murder. The Homicide detectives are continuing with their investigation. They are urging anyone with information regarding this incident to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME. Update March 29, 2014 During the course of their investigation, Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives learned the deceased male was one of the armed suspects who entered the property in the 14400 block of West Kestrel Road. A neighbor heard sounds of distress coming from the incident location and went to investigate. He followed the sounds that lead him to a neighbor’s property where he encountered one of the armed suspects. Gunshots were exchanged and the suspect, who has not been identified, was fatally wounded. The investigation continues. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call 9-1-1 or 88 CRIME. ______________________________________________________________________________ Media Release March 29, 2014 On March 29, 2014, at approximately 1:20 a.m., San Xavier District Deputies responded to a wireless 9-1-1 hang-up in the 14400 block of West Kestrel Road. While en route, deputies learned armed intruders were at the residence and someone was injured. When deputies arrived, they located an injured male with obvious signs of trauma. Deputies performed life saving measures on the injured male; however, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The Sheriff’s Department Homicide Unit responded and took over the investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
