Update: Robbery at South Side Circle K

May 31, 2016 Sheriff Nanos advises that the Robbery/Assault Unit was able to obtain an arrest warrant for 28-year-old Zed Zebedee Alvarado. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department’s Fugitive Investigative Strike Team began investigating the whereabouts of Mr. Alvarado. Their investigation led them to an area near the Laos Bus Station, where Mr. Alvarado was taken into custody without incident. Mr. Alvarado was booked into the Pima County Jail for an armed robbery warrant. The Robbery/Assault Unit, along with the Tucson Police Department, are still investigating 11 robberies Mr. Alvarado is believed to be responsible for. May 23, 2016 Detectives with the Robbery/Assault Unit have identified the suspect in the May 12, 2016 robbery at the Circle K located at 5818 South Palo Verde Road as 28-year-old Zed Zebedee Alvarado. Mr. Alvarado is the suspect in at least six cases in Pima County and possibly more in the City of Tucson. Mr. Alvarado is described as: • A Hispanic male with black hair and beard • Approximately 5’10” in height, 180 pounds Anyone with information about Mr. Alvarado’s location is urged to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
