US Bank Robbery

On Monday, March 6, 2017, at approximately 4:50 p.m., Rincon District deputies responded to the US Bank located inside of the Safeway at 4752 East Sunrise Drive for a report of a robbery. When deputies arrived, they discovered a male suspect demanded money from the bank and left in a gold or silver SUV. Night Squad Detectives responded to the scene as well as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). After speaking with witnesses and reviewing surveillance video, detectives determined the male suspect approached the tellers and covered his face with the collar of his shirt. He then demanded money be placed into a brown plastic bag. An undisclosed amount of money was handed to the suspect, at which point he proceeded to exit the store. No one was hurt during the robbery. The suspect is described as: • Hispanic male appearing be in his 20’s to 30’s • Approximately 5’6”-5’8” in height, 200-230 pounds • Last seen wearing a black Colorado Rockies baseball hat, sunglasses, dark gray long-sleeve shirt, and blue jeans Robbery Assault Detectives have taken over the investigation and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect from this case.
