On Tuesday, April 25, 2017, deputies responded to the Walmart located at 2175 West Ruthrauff Road for a report of a theft. Upon arrival, deputies learned a male suspect had stolen a customer’s purse in the parking lot just after 1:15 p.m. Video surveillance revealed the suspect had waited near the front entrance of the store and began following an elderly female as she exited. He then ran to the east side of the building where he entered a white SUV which was waiting for him. The vehicle then left the parking lot heading southbound on North La Cholla Boulevard. The suspect is described as: • Hispanic or Native American, appearing to be in his 30s, with dark hair, and a tattoo on the right side of his neck • Approximately 5’6” to 6’0” in height, medium build • Last seen wearing a white long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes Robbery Assault detectives have taken over the investigation and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in this case.
